STAR SPANGLED

ADVENTURES

the movie

Hear ye, hear ye, all you Little Patriots!
STAR SPANGLED ADVENTURES, the celebrated American history cartoon series for kids and families, comes to the big screen in time to put a 250ᵗʰ candle on America’s birthday cake!

The Star Spangled Adventures series follows Liberty the Eagle (the Spirit of Freedom) who takes us into the past to experience the pivotal moments and people that shaped the United States of America.

With 47 episodes, the series combines education with cartoon fun to inspire the next generation of patriots.

But how did Liberty the Eagle get her start? Well...

The Story

STAR SPANGLED ADVENTURES—THE MOVIE begins in 1775, as Liberty the Eagle is sent as an apprentice to watch over Freedom in pre-Revolutionary America. Tyrannus the Crow, the Spirit of Oppression, is already entrenched in the colonies. He declares that oppression is the way countries have always worked! Liberty arrives just as the colonists are striving to become independent from Britain and create a nation ruled by the people. Tyrannus vows that this idea will never become reality—certainly not here in the British colonies! But he underestimates the power of everyday people yearning to be free.

In preparation for what will become a truly revolutionary act, brave colonists draft the Declaration of Independence—setting the stage to change the world. Cue the fireworks!

As America's story unfolds, the promises of the Declaration echo through each generation. When fireworks burst across the sky during a modern-day July 4th celebration, young viewers are left with a powerful truth: our cherished freedoms were not only hard-won, but they must be protected. And now, it's up to them to carry the torch.

The Point

With humor, heart, and history, Liberty connects the dots between past and present-reminding kids not only where we've been, but where we must go next. In the words of Ronald Reagan, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction." Now, it is this generation of viewers who must take up the responsibility of protecting the promises of the Declaration.

Historical Stories

We follow the descendants of the fictional Wigglesthorpe family, with each generation experiencing history alongside figures such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Ronald Reagan.

Through this important movie-going experience, Executive Producer American Cornerstone Institute and Dr. Ben Carson aim to inspire America's children to become patriots by engaging with the nation's full history—warts and all!
